I made this piece to memorialize my beloved African Grey parrots I had for so many years.  They were my feathered family members.  It was uncanny that the rose quartz palm stone I had ordered was egg shaped.  Palm stones are typically oval shaped.  I didn\u2019t mention what I was using this palm stone for in my order details.  The center stone is a self-collected aquamarine from a gem dig followed by a tumbled quartz crystal stone.   There are several other semi-precious beads, garnet, apatite, freshwater pearl, Czech glass beads and charms as well.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The yellow parakeet, Lemon, was a post I saw by his human Mom.  She was expressing her deep sorrow that this beautiful little Lemon had passed suddenly.  I was compelled to make a piece to honor Lemon for her.  A gift.  I sent a text introducing myself and asked if she would send a few of her favorite photos of him.  I also came up with ideas about using cabochon glass for the photos.  I was really pleased with how this piece came out.  She was too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
